Discussions about BMW vehicles

hello, i’d like to replace the radio on my Z3 to an in-dash CD/radio.
Unfortunately
there is not an option for this from the factory.  Is there any third party
manufacturer
that makes one that will adjust the volume depending on the speed of the
vehicle just like a factory stock radio?

Hello all–hope this gets to the right place.

I am interested in a BMW in my town–an early 80s (probably ’82 or ’83)
320i (E30 body) that contains a 6 cylinder.
I get the impression that this is a gray market car.  I found it at a
used car lot and saw the cylinder head was missing when I took a peek
under the hood.  I saw before me an inline 6.  I got steered to a
mechanic who specializes in BMWs, and he tells me that it probably is
likely a 2.0 or 2.2 L six.  He was interested enough to buy it, and said
I’d be first in line in buying it if I was interested.

Sounds like an interesting car.  Is there anyone aquainted with this
car?  European readers out there may chime in on this.  I’d like to know
if this is a car worth considering.  Please send responses to

Help !  I have a 1997 BMW 318 I c and I want to know what I should clean
the rear plactic window with.  I want it to be clear.  I have not used
anything on it, but it is starting to get cloudy ???

At Present I have a dealer installed Motorola phone installed in my 7
series
BMW and was wondering if the New StarTac car kit can replace the present
one and still use the cars indash/ steering wheel controls and radio
shutoff??

Has anyone done this??

I was over at the chrysler pages and there was an article on oil filters,
and they said that FRAM made the poorest quality filters. Well, I use
FRAM filters on my 89 325IS. Anybody got any experience with oil filters?

I was wondering if anyone out there could assist with suggestions
regarding the following problem:

Certain of the displays on the on board computer display do not
function  ie Fuel consumption, Range, Litres fuel remaining.
These all seem related to some input required from somewhere in the
fuel system.

Occasionally, especially during hot weather the electronic
speedometer also dies on me.

Any suggestions would be most welcome except the total replacement of
the system which would surely cost an arm and a leg.
