    Does anyone know if there are any good mechanics or any good shops
beside the dealer in Kansas City, more specifically, in Overland Park,
Kansas?  If anyone knows of any, please email me back.  Thanx given

Has anybody tried the new double valve type of shocks on their BMW’s?  I’m
up for new shocks (98,000 miles is enough to expect from them, don’tcha
think?) and wondered if they just improved ‘plain’ cars?  (Oh, get a sense
of humor)

Steve — keep the car — get a smaller wife!

i have a 95 m3 with the extended 100,000 mile warranty. i am thinking
about putting on an aftermarket ehxaust. also, i may put in a new chip
and k&n air box. will these mods void the warranty? and would anyone
reccomend any of these upgrades? please give me your opinion.

I have a ’93 325iS that normally runs very well. This weekend on a 500
mile round trip drive, the engine stalled several times while driving on
the interstate. Every time the car stalled, it restarted all by itself as
if I had popped the clutch.  All lights on the dash illuminate as if I had
just turned the ignition key to start the car and then they go out
normally.

I originally suspected bad gas so I ran the tank almost completely empty
before refueling. This did not correct the problem. I only use Shell
Premium gasoline and the second tank of gas was from a different station
200 miles away.

I took the car in today to the dealer today and the computer had 47 faults
for a knock sensor. The mechanic thinks that this is an erroneous fault
because he has never replaced a knock sensor nor heard of one being
replaced in his 15 years of servicing BMW’s. He also doesn’t believe that
a faulty knock sensor would cause the car to stall .

Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what fixed it?

I am thinking of getting a Schnitzer Quick Shift gear conversion for my
328i sport coupe. Does anyone have any comments, ie is it worth 500 uk
pounds. ??
