E30 M3 Intake Manifold Gaskets

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 10:45 pm

I need to replace the intake manifold gaskets on my 1988 E30 M3.

I would appreciate any information/tips/tricks that anyone can share on
their experience or problems with this procedure.  I especially need the
factory torque specs for the intake manifold bolts.

Thanks

What would happen if I drive a 1992 525i to its electronic speed
governor?  Do I feel a big bang or the engine slowly lose power?  If the
engine loses power, what’s the top speed the car will go?

                                                        Thank you

brake performance

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 2:29 pm

I recently was involved in an auto accident. It was my fault I was looking
at some stupid sign by the road and I ran into the rear end of another
car. I felt really silly. I can’t help but thonk that this may not have
happened if the brakes on my car were better. I was just wondering if I
could get some advice on brake upgrades. I also had  a crazy idea… is it
possible to fit my car 85 318i with the brakes from a larger bmw that
would need more braking power say a 5 or 7 series.
Have a nice day,

M3 or 540

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 2:28 pm

Hi,

I am thinking of buying 2-3 years old used either M3 or 540i, stick shift. I know
M3 handles better, cheaper and has higher gas mileage. But I don’t know if M3
is good for long trip or not. 540 is more luxury and more expensive.

M3 or 540 owners, please share what you think with us.

Thanks a lot

i was wondering if anyone has the european intake system in their ///M3.
it is sold in the BMP DESIGN catalog. does it make a dramatic
difference? also, is it possible to disconnect the vent that cools the
alternator and connect it directly into the engine, with some
modifications. thus making it a ram air system?

just food for thought….

Re: Need help CHIPS

Jim C doesn’t hold your hand once you buy it. After the end of the month Jim C
won’t sell direct any more either.  Same chip will be sold for twice as much
or more.  But you’ll get glossy catalogs, 800 #s and the like.  If you wanna
buy a Jim C chip, get on it.  And, you will be getting one of the best bangs
for the buck any BMW owner can.
