Discussions about BMW vehicles

I have checked all the usual suspects,ignition compression,but I am
unable to adequately check fuel delivery any tips?for a 320i 1981 BMW
Also will surge at midrange at times

I’ve had a JR  Lazer Auto Alarm fitted to my 320 i (new shape)
in Luton, UK. Whenever I press the fob to activate the alarm
and central locking, the doors lock and then reopen. Sometimes
they do lock.

I’ve been told that this is a known problem with BMW. Does NE1
know what the problem is & how to cure it ?

Hello,

I have a 96 M3 and i was wondering what do i need to make my exhaust sound
deeper and meaner during idle?  I have been reading this newsgroup on
performance issues and i heard changing the exhaust is not going to make a
noticeable difference.  However, i would like to make it sound tougher.  Any
pro and cons for the changes?

I had an ’85 3, and had the same problem.  Try opening the little cover over
the roof motor and check that the large bolt that spins when you open the
roof is tight.  The spark plug tool in your tool kit should fit it
perfectly.
