In addition to our flyer T.C.A. Car Show, here is what happen last year at
our show. Last year and the previous years we called the show "The Motor
Transportation Show.

The 3rd annual  Temple Christian Academy Motor Transportation Show held on
June 8th 1996, coordinated by Marj and Tim Rusling, was a huge success.
The weather reports predicted rain all day Saturday, but God answered
their prayers for a beautiful day. Hundreds of people came to the show to
see 80 assembled vehicles. Children came and raced their Remote Controlled
Cars around a special track. Also included in Temple Christian Academy’s
Spring Fest were a  B. B. Q., a bake goods sale, a flea market and a
children’s fun fair.

Eight area dealers participated with displays and sponsorship. The car
dealers who participated were Central Chrysler, Courtesy Dodge Chrysler,
Gus Revenburg Pontiac / Buick, Windsor Mazda, Windsor Volkswagen, Eastway
Toyota, Saturn Saab Isuzu of Windsor and Windsor Jeep Eagle. All of the
dealers at the show gave door prizes including Sinasac Jeep Eagle and Dan
Kane Chev / Olds who had prior engagements. The Auto Trader and Dri Wash
also were sponsors and had a display each.

The special exhibits included were the Historic Vehicle Society of
Ontario, a Checker Cab, a West Coast Cobra, a Dodge Viper and the Minis of
Windsor Owners Group.

Michael Feasy of Windsor a first time participant at the show stated, "In
excess of  a hundred people were looking, gathering some information.
Possible sales for the future." Valerie Hebert of Windsor Volkswagen
responded, "It was a lot of fun. I would certainly come again. It gave us
a chance to show a lot of our new cars. I had a few people ask about
buying our new cars." About the vehicles in the competitions Ms. Hebert
exclaimed, " They were awesome!"

Christine Laskowski, a twelve year old seventh grader this year at Temple
Christian Academy, said "My favorite competing car at the 1996 Motor
Transportation Show is Tom Collings’ car. It’s purple and white and has
dice inside. It’s awesome. It’s really cool." Collings’ car was a 1956
Ford Victoria. Dreaming of the future Christine added, "When I turn 16,
I’d like to get a Dodge Viper or a Town and Country Mini Van." Another T.
C. A. student named Brandon Danby, now in grade nine, said that he also
would like the $80 000.00 Dodge Viper because "It looked good plus it went
fast." It’s a good thing the students of Temple Christian Academy are
getting the best education possible, because they are going to need it to
land a good job in the future with their rich tastes.

The Auto Trader, who sponsored ads in their magazine for the show, gave
out hundreds of their latest issues gratis. They also sponsored the
People’s Choice Award at the show as usual. The Auto Trader’s Dean Ataman
presented the People’s Choice Award to Frank and Del Lipischak of Belle
River. They’ve entered their 1955 Ford Thunder Bird every year since the
show began.

Transportation Show on Saturday June 8th, 1996.
